Education is the cornerstone of building societies. It represents the basic for the success of economic and social plans, and the real renaissance of any society and all the sectors have achieved their objectives only through investments. But this sector needs diversity in sources of funding. Developing countries have faced a grim venality in funding education as a result of the economic and political conditions that have passed. The aim of research is to present the financing problems faced the Private Universities in Iraq and find another method of financing private universities and evaluate this alternation financing method , nothing the advantage that will be achieved in this method of financing . A number of proposals have been reached, the most important of which is the need to build a culture of community and issue special lows for the private universities in accordance with the proposed model in order to determine its establishment and its work and the need to adopt international standards in university education. The proposal was to be sources of funding of universities of three new, external investors and has 40% and the state (the ministry of higher education or any state education foundation) 40 % , and the professor and employers 20% . This research gave a clear idea of how to finance and discover it and deal with.

This results in a diversity of mathematical knowledge, augmented by the fact that what constitutes precalculus varies with source institution and instructor preferences, confounding traditional indicators of student knowledge and maturity such as high school grades. Purpose This article aims to identify the critical barriers to university social responsibility (USR) implementation and explore the most significant obstacles in Vietnamese higher education practice.Design/methodology/approach To rank the vital barriers in USR implementation between public and private universities, the Technique for Order of Preference by Similarity to Ideal Solution (TOPSIS) techniques have been employed. The authors collected data from twenty experts across Vietnamese universities, ten respondents for each kind correspondingly. All experts have at least five years of experience in terms of the USR regard.Findings Sixteen critical barriers to USR implementation have been identified in the context of Vietnamese universities. Among these barriers, those related to legal issues, USR knowledge and stakeholders are deemed the highest priority to overcome. However, the findings revealed that the lack of metrics to quantify USR benefits, local societal pressure and the complexity of USR adoption are comparatively easier to remove when implementing USR initiatives.Practical implications The article suggests that for Vietnamese universities to adopt USR initiatives successfully, higher education administrators and senior project managers should prioritize overcoming obstacles based on their university's capabilities.Originality/value This work is the first research considering the barriers and challenges of Vietnamese universities struggling to implement USR programs.

Over the past decades, countries across the Global South have been adopting expansionary health reforms and are increasingly doing so under the banner of promoting universal health coverage. But countries have taken notably different approaches regarding the inclusion of private actors in their expanding healthcare systems. In this article, we explore the political causes and consequences of partial privatization in the context of healthcare expansion. We conduct a case study of Turkey's 2008 health reform, which coupled substantial coverage expansion with the introduction of private options in provision and financing-and has since been branded as a global "success story" of achieving universal health coverage. Specifically, we seek to explain why Turkey introduced private options with its expansionary health reform and what kind of policy feedback effects this has triggered. We find that private options were incorporated into the reform as the result of persistent business lobbying and pro-market changes in the leadership of the health ministry and not because of any international coercion, e.g., by the World Bank. The introduction of these private options has since led to the growth of private hospital and insurance markets and the political entrenchment of partial privatization.

The purpose of this study was to determine the effect of workload, work environment, and work stress on the performance of employees of private universities in the city of Bandung, Indonesia. This research uses a descriptive verification method which was conducted on 150 employees of private universities in the city of Bandung. Data collection techniques in this study used questionnaires. Data analysis techniques using correlation analysis, regression, determination and hypothesis testing (t-test). The results of hypothesis testing prove that workload has a negative effect on employee performance, the work environment has a positive effect on employee performance, and work stress has a negative effect on employee performance.

Purpose - The purpose of the study is to explore the market orientation of the private universities in Bangladesh. The study further aims to investigate the relationships between market orientation and business performance. Design/methodology/approach - Data for this study were collected from the faculty members of business and non-business schools of the 15 private universities in Bangladesh. A total number of 314 faculty members were interviewed with a structured questionnaire. Reliability, convergent and discriminant validity issues of the data were assessed and outcomes of these confirm the reliability and validity for the data used for the study. Findings - Direct entry regression was used in order to identify the relationships between market orientation and its performance. Four performance measures - student growth, market share, teaching and service quality - and overall performance were used to investigate their relationships with market orientation. All four measures were found to be statistically significant and positively related to the market orientation of the private universities in Bangladesh. Originality/value - The findings of the study support the theoretical arguments that the universities can be successful in attaining their business performances by initiating and adopting market oriented activities. The study further argues why it is so critical for a private university to be market oriented and how this market orientation can be attained.

This study investigated the attitudes of graduation students regarding entrepreneur education in Thailand. Data were collected form the Master of Business Administration (MBA) students of three public and three private universities in the city of Bangkok of Thailand by applying convenientsampling. PLS-SEM was used to analysis the data. The results revealed that the students how to have the ability to take the extensive risk, have self-efficacy regarding entrepreneur and have feasibility in terms project startup have a positive attitude towards entrepreneurship than the studentswho did not have these facilities. This study provides the guideline to the police makers, universities, and the government of the country that provides these type of facilities to their students that they take much interest in the entrepreneur education.

Context: Depression, anxiety, and stress are common among medical students because of hectic and heavy studies.This study was carried out to determine the magnitude of the Depression, Anxiety, and Stress Scale (DASS) among undergraduate medical students and its relationship with its causative factors in public and private universities.Setting and Design: The study tool was DASS (Depression, Anxiety, Stress Scale-21) which was distributed through the Department of Physiology, College of Medicine, King Saud University, adopting a multistage cluster sampling method for an observational study design.Subjects and Data: Data from undergraduate medical students (N = 337) was collected from public and private medical colleges in Saudi Arabia.Statistical Analysis: Independent t-tests and analysis of covariance were applied to analyze the data.Results: There was a significant difference in depression with a higher mean score in private versus public medical students (8.38±5.93 vs 6.34±5.46, p=0.001), anxiety (9.49±5.12 vs 7.91±5.00, p=0.005), and stress (9.11±5.11 vs 7.93±5.02, p=0.035). There was a significant difference in the level of anxiety between second- and third-years students (p =0.01).Conclusion: Private medical university students have significantly higher depression, anxiety, and stress levels compared to public universities. More studies are needed to explore the causes of this psychological impact.

Purpose-The purpose of this paper is to explore the role of administration and faculty members in developing character education within public and private universities in Kuwait. It further aims to explore the value of character education in effecting the quality experience of higher education. Design/methodology/approach-The researchers employed a quantitative research paradigm, using a questionnaire survey method to collect data from faculty members at major public and private Kuwaiti universities. They used Statistical Package for the Social Sciences to analyze a total of 298 questionnaires. Findings-The findings revealed that universities do indeed play a "strong" role in student character education. However, within public universities, it is the faculty themselves who form the key ingredient in the process rather than the administrative body, which is perceived to have a "Medium" effect. Conversely, at private universities, the administration and faculty both merited a "strong" role in developing character education. Practical implications-The study will provide leaders with several recommendations to improve the integrated development of universities through fostering character education. Originality/value-While K-12 education has received significant attention regarding the moral and character development of students over the last few decades, this study, extends this research significantly into higher education; focusing upon character development at university and comparing its implementation at both public and private institutions.

Purpose - Due to scarcity of research in governance and accountability in private higher education in developing countries, the purpose of this paper is to explore the tensions surrounding good governance in legitimizing accountability in private universities in developing countries with reference to Bangladesh. Design/methodology/approach - Mixed methods are employed: a quantitative survey of 1,576 students from all 79 private universities; qualitative interviews with 23 stakeholders; and policy documents including the Private University Acts, the World Bank Report and newspapers (1992-2015) were evaluated. The objectives of these mixed methods in this study are juxtaposed and generate complementary insights that together create a bigger picture surrounding governance and accountability issues. Findings - Using Clark's (1983) triangle model (i.e. state control, academic oligarchy, and market forces together with the external influence of donors and boards of trustees as internal governance) and new institutional theory (DiMaggio and Powell, 1983), the major contributions of this study are explaining the root causes of the poor governance of private universities through three related factors: the substantial political power and autonomy held by boards of trustees; a lack of enforcement of Private University Act; and a lack of coordination among stakeholders. The coercive power of the state becomes powerless since the board of trustees ultimately enjoys political power and "does whatever it can." The lack of coordination of the academic oligarchy (e.g. professors and academics) and market forces (represented by students) by the board of trustees creates a paradox of governance and hence a decoupling of formal policies and actual practice. Practical implications - The findings have major policy implications for local and international policymakers for improving good governance in private universities in developing countries. Originality/value - The novelty of the study's findings represents an initial effort to understand the complex and persistent phenomenon of prolonged poor governance of private universities in developing countries, which is largely neglected in the literature. This will undoubtedly contribute to literature and policy implications.
