It is established that the organisms causing galls among trees in the area are from the following orders: Diptera, Hemiptera, Lepidoptera, Hymenoptera, and Thysanoptera. The tree species affected by galls include <i>Mangifera indica</i>, eucalyptus, <i>Pongamia pinnata, Tectona grandis, Dalbergia sissoo, Acacia</i> spp, <i>Syzygium cumini, Phyllanthus emblica, Terminalia tomentosa, Emblica officinalis [P. emblica]</i>, and willow species, etc. It is suggested that an in-depth knowledge of process of gall producing species is the key for protecting plantation forests from devastating outbreaks of gall inducers. 收起
