The average increase in standard plate count (1 X 106/ml) and coliform count (1 X 103/ml) ranged from 2.07 to 81.82 and 4.75 to 989.81 respectively, and a decrease in methylene blue reduction time (min) ranged from 28 to 232. A wide range of bacterial quality of the product indicated that there was a lack of hygiene in the production or distribution of the product. It is suggested that there is a need to adopt appropriate hygiene measuresto improve the quality of milk supplied in the city. 收起
