Se-doped CuS quantum dots are prepared with a combination of solvents (DW/EN) by hydrothermal method. Solvent-based Se-doped copper sulfide quantum dots show the highest efficiency compared to the quantum dots (QDs) without the effect of solvents. According to the PL investigation, the hole recombination in the copper vacancy acceptor and electron recombination in the quantized conduction band are the principal sources of these QDs' emission. It provides a new possibility for the development of quantum dot-sensitized solar cells. 收起
