The different methods of bulk tank analysis are presented: standard plate count (SPC); preliminary incubation count (PIC); coliform count; lab pasteurized count (LPC); bulk tank somatic cell count (BTSCC); milk cultures; cryoscope or freezing point; sediment; and rancidity. The reasons for high SPC, PIC, LPC, coliform count and SCC are also discussed. The collection, storage and transportation of the sample to the laboratory are described. 收起
