The... 展开 The range of plant protection products authorized for use in orchards has been reduced since the year 2000 due to the withdrawal of four molecules subsequent to a re-examination process carried out by the European authorities. The official withdrawal decision concerns the following: DNOC, pyrazophos, zineb and ethyl-parathion [parathion]. Although all have been withdrawn from the market, the last two may still be used until September 2002. Furthermore, 19 active substances used on fruit crops included in the second and third re-examination lists are expected to be withdrawn from the market in 2003, due to their manufacturer's non-representation. Of these, there are five organophosphorus compounds, two pyrethroids, three specific acaricides, one oil product, three fungicides, three herbicides, one growth regulator and one antibacterial product. In addition to these "European withdrawals", two triazine herbicides, i.e. simazine and terbuthylazine, will be withdrawn from the national fruit crop market in September 2002 and banned for use from 2003 onwards. Thus, it is known today that 25 active substances will have disappeared by the end of 2003. Others may be withdrawn depending on further decisions by the French and/or European authorities. 收起
