摘要 : Data obtained from a total of 100 ex-servicemen dairy farmers (ESDF) in 9 villages of Karnal district, Haryana, India [date not given], showed that the extent of adoption of scientific dairy farming practices (SDFP) was 64.62%, wi... 展开 Data obtained from a total of 100 ex-servicemen dairy farmers (ESDF) in 9 villages of Karnal district, Haryana, India [date not given], showed that the extent of adoption of scientific dairy farming practices (SDFP) was 64.62%, with 16, 67 and 17% of ESDF showing a low, medium and high level of adoption respectively. The maximum extent of adoption was for feeding (83.49%), followed by health care (64.08%), management (62.33%) and breeding (49.11%) practices. A study of 18 socio-personal and socio-psychological characteristics of ESDF, and their correlation with adoption of SDFP, showed that age, military service and knowledge of SDFP were positively and highly significantly correlated, and that herd size, training in dairying, extension contact, mass media exposure and attitude towards dairy farming were also significantly correlated; the 18 variables explained 42.23% of the variation in adoption of SDFP. 收起
