Dicotyledonous weeds do... 展开 Field studies were conducted during the kharif and summer seasons of 1994-95 at Pattambi, Kerala, India, to determine an effective method of controlling weeds in cowpeas (Vigna unguiculata var. Kanakamony). Dicotyledonous weeds dominated during thesummer, whereas during the kharif, grasses [Poaceae] and sedges [Cyperaceae] were dominant. The results suggested that applying alachlor at 2 kg a.i. ha-1 for weed control during the kharif season would increase profits. During the summer, seed yield andnet income following weed control using alachlor was slightly less than that obtained by hand weeding. However, when labour was scarce, using herbicides would result in the generation of some profit. 收起
