Two reactions of the carboxyl group in hydrolysis are distinguished: splitting of the acyl-oxygen bond; and splitting of the alkyl-oxygen bond. On that basis, the reaction of humic acids with the microelements may be considered. The transformation of plant matter (the biochemical series) into organic matter (the coal series) is regarded as the response of an organic system to the redox character of the surrounding medium. Functional relations between the F/Vt ratios in the most important environments of the organic system-the hydrogen-sulfide, chloride, carbonate, and oxygen environments-are obtained. The behavior of the microelements in these geochemical conditions is characterized. The influence of the electronegativity of the microelements on their geochemical behavior is noted. 收起
