Leaf extracts from seven plant species were tested against <i>A. tenuissima</i>, the causal fungus of leaf spot of eggplant under <i>in-vitro</i> and <i>in-vivo</i> condition. Maximum inhibition of mycelial growth was observed in leaf/bulb extracts of garlic (<i>Allium sativum</i>), neem (<i>Azadirachta indica</i>) and prosopis (<i>Prosopis juliflora</i>) at 15% (v/v) concentration. The leaf extracts of <i>Lantana camera</i>, <i>Calotropis procera</i> and <i>Vinca rosea</i> were not effective in <i>in-vitro</i> as well as <i>in-vivo</i>. Maximum reduction of 62.1% disease intensity was observed in pot culture experiments after spraying with garlic bulb extract at 10%(v/v) concentration followed by 58.2 and 57.6 per cent reduction by <i>Azadirachta indica</i> and <i>Prosopis juliflora</i> respective extract at the same concentration.
