This paper reports ... 展开 A major Hanford Site tank pretreatment objective is to resolve the tank safety issues regarding organic compounds (and accompanied hydrogen generation), which can all potentially react to evolve heat and gases. This paper reports scoping test results of three candidate waste pretreatment processes to oxidize organic compounds contained in the Hanford Site's radioactive waste storage tanks. Ozone oxidation, electrochemical oxidation, and calcination/dissolution were tested for their ability to destroy tank waste organics using a nonradioactive simulated tank waste. 收起
