The authors improve the negative results published about partition testing and try to reconcile them with its intuitively perceived value. Partition testing is shown to be more valuable than random testing only when the partitions are narrowly based on expected faults and there is a good chance of failure. For gaining confidence for successful tests, partition testing as usually practiced has little value.

Embedded software testing is a complex and difficult task. During the testing process, testing tasks often require additional hardware devices to assist. This paper, in the perspective of software solution, presents a supporting tool for testing embedded software. This tool can automatically generate test cases and test drivers, and supports unit test and coverage test which are based cross testing technology and multiple rounds mechanism. The test results can be visually represented to facilitate the observation. By using our constructed testing environment in the embedded platform to do testing experiments, the experiment results show that our constructed testing environment is workable.

This paper covers the importance of performance testing of web applications and analysing the application's bottleneck based on hardware, software and resource utilization. Mainly, the focus would be to performance test the application on different parameters like load, stress, scalability, reliability, security and capacity front. Now a days everyone expects everything to be very fast but at the same time reliability and these causes the customer also to push for the performance testing of the application. Performance testing determine how fast some aspects of the system performs under a pre-defined workload which is calculated by analysing the production logs which comes from the application hosted on the servers and knowing the hits during the business hours knowing a what time business is at its peak.

This framework allows the project teams to easily automate the test cases, improve the efficiency and productivity, and reuse code and resources. The framework is extensible so that users can contribute and add value to it. Each module of the framework represents one typical technology or an application layer. Each module can be decoupled from the framework and used independently to fulfill an automation goal for a specific type of application.

In order to solve these and make the testing cost effective, a set of test case comparison metrics algorithms is introduced which will quantitatively calculate the difference between any arbitrary test case pair of an existing test suite. Metric values for test case pair are generated and combined to create one or more unique signature values. Using these signature values a cluster of similar test cases are generated, that can effectively test under time constraints.
