The word "Open Source" is everywhere with Linux Technology and GNU foundation. In addition to open source software's and operating systems, Open Source Hardware is also progressing and becoming center point of attraction for researchers across the nook and corner of the world. The most widely adopted Open Source hardware available right now is "Arduino". Arduino has various products like boards, Lilypad's and shields. The aim of this research paper is to explore the world of Arduino technology in terms of Boards, Lilypad's and Shields covering in depth regarding-Technical Specifications, features and real-world applications. Arduino technology has enabled various manufactures and research enthusiasts to come out with their own customized boards and shields as per their research requirements and area of implementations. Arduino Open Source community is also providing platform for researchers to come up with innovative research applications and market ready products in terms of Home Automation, Robotics, Wireless Connectivity, Drones and many others.

In this paper we describe a novel approach to programming microcontrollers based on the Arduino platform using Datalog as a clear and concise description language for system behaviors. The application areas of cheap and easily programmable microcontroller platforms, like robotics, home automation, and IoT devices hold mainstream appeal and are often used as motivation in natural science and technology teaching. The choice of programming languages for microcontrollers is severely limited, especially with regard to rule-based declarative languages. We use an approach that is based on the Dedalus language augmented with operations that allow for side-effects and we also take the limited resources of a microcontroller into account. Our compiler and runtime environment allow to run Datalog programs on Arduino-based systems.

Our life is kept under control and supervision at the same time as it gets easier with intelligent devices emerging with the technology of the century that we are in. One of these technologies is Arduino, a physical computing platform having a development environment for a simple microprocessor and software. Using Arduino, the signals from the various sensors can be read, the lights can be turned on and off, the engine can be started; in short, all electronic applications that might come to mind are possible. In this study, a garage door system which enables the car garage door to be opened and closed automatically according to the numbers of the identified car plates using the external hardware and software development environment via the Arduino platform, has been developed. In addition, while the garage door is moving down in case any entity approaches the door too close, the control of the door motor has been also considered as to provide the security through the sensor, remote controller and desktop software. This work designed specifically for the use of servo-motors scanning the angles of 360 degree also contributes to the next execution to be developed in order to create a safer system using face recognition technology.

This paper represents an assistive robotic technology to assist elderly people who are unable to move frequently and walk properly and also forget to take medicine. The goal is to implement a prototype and test its capability for helping the elder people to make their life easy and live better. The working prototype has been designed for four features. First, it has a heartbeat sensor where doctors or nurses will easily measure the patient's heartbeat rate. The second one is a common box that will open by touch using an obstacle detector which is known as the sonar sensor. Third, an individual patient has an individual box that will open only by punch RFID. And lastly, the moving part of this robot where wheels are used including motors and sensors. This sensor flows the line and reaches the patient in proper time. This proposed robot is a design based on Arduino Uno and Arduino Nano. The proposed human assistive robot provides 96% to 99% accuracy to determine heart rate compared to ECG heart rate for smokers and nonsmoker persons in two different seasons-winter and summer. The prototype is developed to help the elderly people to make their life easy and reduce the nurse's work and make the digital hospital.

In this work, blockchain is used along with IoT devices for demand side management of microgrid. Initially, IoT is implemented on microgrids for energy management through IoT or blockchain implementation, and the distribution of energy is considered in three stages with three levels of microgrids. All the values of resources load are sensed with Arduino and sent to an IoT platform. The logics of DSM are executed, and the action commands are implemented. The energy is transacted through three levels, and the price is maintained constant through the transactions with blockchain implementation. The combination of IoT and blockchain leads to efficient and economical energy management of group of microgrids.

With the development of smart home industry, smart curtain is going to come into the life of people. This Paper contains the improvement of Curtain system with Bluetooth device, which is controlled by any smart phone. The motive of this project is to cope with the digital world and the betterment for the human life. We use Bluetooth device to control the whole system operated by a Smartphone. Bluetooth software is installed in the phone, which name is "Bluetooth terminal". Blue term is default software, which is available in Google play store. We give a command on that software and the system works with that command. We assign the input '3', '4', and '5' at the arduino coding for motor rotation. Command'3' is for closing the curtain which means motor rotate right, command '4' is for opening the curtain which means motor rotate left and command '4' is for stop the curtain at anywhere. The Bluetooth device which is implemented to the circuit, is password protected. So we can secure the system by giving password. For the power supply of this system we use 9V adapter. The prototype has been successfully developed and it could provide an effective mechanism to make our life easier.

The visual multi scene intelligent car service platform based on Internet of things technology is different from any previous machine idea. It is specially designed to serve an industry or a field. What we want to achieve here is a multi scene service state, and switching scenes without switching machines (only switching conversion method). At the same time, in order to meet this requirement, the traditional centralized design scheme can not be used to arrange all tasks in the machine. Therefore, the hardware level is separated from the software level for step-by-step processing, which will not only reduce the pressure of the hardware machine, but also improve its processing efficiency. Further, its processing capacity is no longer limited by the underlying hardware, but determined by the performance of the upper computer, After having a very powerful upper computer, it can realize the control mode of multi lower computer management. At the same time, it can adopt the scheme of time-sharing processing to deal with the multi lower computer, so as to meet its various performance requirements. In this way, we can complete the service mode of more scenarios under the current technical force, and only adopt a machine mode, a scalable and scalable smart car service platform whose efficiency can be improved at any time.

Internet of Things (IoT) is a widely emerging technology making our lives smarter with smart applications. One of its applications is smart home where any device or object at home can be made smart and can be controlled via internet or in a local network. All recent projects in smart home are using IPv4 for addressing, as we know IPv4 addresses are getting depleted at faster rate as there is increase in connected devices. This problem of IPv4 depletion can be solved by using IPv6 protocol for addressing. IPv6 protocol stack can't be embedded directly into the microcontroller as microcontroller has limited hardware capability to run existing IPv6 protocol stack. This paper proposes a solution to build a smart control centre with Arduino yun to facilitate IPv6 addressing then using this smart control centre to control devices over wifi interface through web browser on laptops, desktops and smart phones.
