This study aims to find the relationship between technopreneurial competence and education to business growth in Information Communication and Technology (ICT) sector. It is found that ICT companies are fast to develop, rapid to grow and at the same time have high risk of failure. Therefore, present study deals with the crucial topic of growth determinants and tries to link it with entrepreneur-specific factors. With the help of MANOVA and subsequent analysis, paper finds that business growth in ICT sector is linked with both technopreneurial competence as well as educational background. The major implication is that while dealing with technopreneurship, concerned regulatory and educational bodies should focus on developing more education and imparting individual-specific training that enhance their entrepreneurial competence so as to nurture more growth-oriented ICT businesses.

The higher educational institutions operate in more competitive environment hence it is essential for them to be more service oriented. In a growing economy like India, where higher education institutions are struggling to match international standards, there is a dire need for Indian universities to improve the quality of services aiming to match global standards. The present study tries to contribute service quality literature in the higher education context by proposing a model to test the relationship between the dimensions like academic aspects, non-academics aspects, reliability and empathy with regards to behavioural intentions. Finings suggests that service quality has positive impact on behavioural intentions. Students who are well informed due to universities' efforts in marketing communication and its relevant attributes are very vocal about the non-academic aspects of service quality. The study proposes the relationship with dimensions of HEdPERF in service quality to link intentions of students.

Research on mobile payments is emerging as a separate research area in information systems. Previous literature indicates that existing theoretical models do not extend the empirical inquiry into technology fitment domain to understand the user behaviour better. Integration of users' requirement of technology, with network externalities, risk, trust, and promotion, was done to check mobile wallet usage of Gujarat's users. To empirically test the hypothesised model, a total of 500 samples were collected using online and offline structured survey. Structural equation modelling technique was performed. The findings of the study indicate that all the hypotheses were supported and it has theoretical and managerial implications.

Supply chain management is crucial for the successful business operations. Current businesses pose many challenges in terms of cost pressure, lesser profit margin and supply chain complexity in Indian set up. In such a situation, monitoring the performance of supply chain is necessary. Keeping this in mind, this paper tries to measure the performance of five tyre manufacturers in India based on the published financial statements. The empirical data is gathered for five Indian tyre manufacturing companies for the last four years. The financial data of these five companies are taken from the public domain of financial database, Capitaline Databases. The finding of this study demonstrated that there are two groups of tyre manufacturers. One group contains similar supply chain management practices. The other might have different practices leading to difference in supply chain performance. This study provides valuable insights not only for tyre manufacturers to improve their supply chain performance, but also for research scholars who want to conduct their further research in the same domain.

As soon as the individual starts earning he should start saving for retirement as it is never too early to start saving for retirement. Retirement savings or creating retirement corpus is not a short term process, but a time consuming long term process. Age of an employee will determine the number of years left to get retired formally by laws. This will help in judging the number as well as the amount of monthly salary to be drawn by the employee from which they can save for retirement. Wise should start saving as early as possible. Many banks and financial institution offer various retirement products and motivates the employees to save for the same but still the initiatives taken by most of the people to activate in this area is negligible. In order to understand about their failure to save for retirement and the reason behind it, the present study tries to find out age as one of the differential factor that influence retirement planning and saving behavior of the employees in Gujarat. The objective of this study was to find out the relationship between age and the retirement saving behavior of private sector employees in Gujarat region. The researcher has used Descriptive and non-experimental type of research design by surveying the sample of private sector employees with the age group from 25 to 60 years from the four different regions of Gujarat like Surat, Navsari, Ahemdabad, Gandhinagar, Rajkot, Jamnagar, Mehsana, Palanpur etc. through Questionnaire method. The researcher found that Young baby boomers are well aware about the pre-requisite need to start early for retirement. Efforts should be made to target those age group who are not aware about the importance of retirement saving. This study would be helpful to the financial advisor who can make personalized assessments and take a step further by studying the one- to-one interventions and can attempt to develop "age-appropriate" degree of risk tolerance among investors.

Medical tourism is quickly becoming one of the world's fastest growing industries growing approximately 30% a year. Medical tourism presents an opportunity for hospitals to fuel growth by tapping the potential of the NRI (Non Resident Indian) and domestic patient market. To attract NRI and domestic patients, healthcare providers may consider leveraging on both business and clinical considerations. Gujarat is poised to be a leader in the medical tourism development of India. This state, offers tremendous potential to develop medical tourism particularly in its major cities like Ahmedabad, Baroda, Surat, Rajkot and Jamnagar. Gujarat has world class medical facilities in its various hospitals, which have set new standards of health care in all disciplines of Modern Medicine. This care is available at very competitive charges so Gujarat has become a lucrative destination for people wanting to undergo the best treatment at cost-effective rates. For example, an open-heart procedure in the best hospital in Gujarat would cost the patient around $10,000 as against $50,000 abroad. Similarly, joint replacement operation in the state country would cost around $ 4,000 as compared with $39,000 in the US. A root canal procedure by a dentist in Ahmedabad would cost about $20 as against $100 in the US. A comprehensive health screening package could be as economical as $ 100. There are excellent multi- specialty hospitals with ultramodern infrastructure which offer attractive options for NRI & domestic patients in particularly Ahmedabad city. Medical facilities in Ahmedabad's hospital is well advanced with world class health facilities, zero waiting time and most importantly one tenth of medical costs spent in the US or UK, Gujarat is evolving into a preferred medical tourist destination. According to a rough estimate, about 1,200 to 1,500 NRI's, NRG's and a small percentage of foreigners come every year for different medical treatments, the majority being cardiac patients and a good number of patients coming for joint replacement, plastic surgery and In-vitro fertilization.

This study attempts to assess the financial literacy level of retail individual investors in the state of Gujarat, India and its effect on their investment decision. The data collection instrument consisted of a performance test and questionnaire. The performance test was used to measure the financial literacy level of investors. The median percentage of correct answer of the sample was considered to frame the financial literacy level. Forty-four variables of investment decision were studied. Out of a total of 385 respondents, 39.20% of the respondents are considered investors with a higher level of financial literacy and 60.80% of respondents are considered investors with a relatively lower level of financial literacy. This study found that financial literacy does have a statistically significant effect on the investment decision of investors.

As dairies involve in the collecting, transporting, processing and distributing milk and milk products, its value chain is different as well as challenging from the value chain of other manufacturing organisations. Other aspects which make the value chain of cooperative dairies more cumbersome, complex and non-productive are temperature of ambiance of Gujarat throughout the year, perishable nature of milk and all most uneducated rural milk producers therefore the purpose of this paper is to identify key success factors for such a challenging value chain of cooperative dairies. With the exploratory research design and convenience sampling method various managers and senior officers of cooperative dairies of Gujarat state have been surveyed. A total 15 factors are the key success factors for the value chain of cooperative dairies in Gujarat. Extracted key success factors should be incorporated by cooperative dairies in their routine service packages. By implementing these factors dairies in turn can increase the efficiency of the entire cooperative dairy value chain.

Purpose - Marketers have realized the importance of assessing consumers' willingness to pay (WTP) before introducing green products across different target audience. The purpose of this paper is to examine the relative influence of consumers' pro-environmental behaviours (PEBs) and environmental locus of control (ELOC) on their WTP for green products. Design/methodology/approach - The study sample consisted of 256 Indian consumers which were recruited with the help of convenience sampling. A structured questionnaire was administered with scales that were well established and that have been used in previous research. Data were analysed with the help of CFA and structural equation modelling to test the relationship of ELOC and PEB anon WTP. Second, clustering respondents according to their PEB and ELOC has been done to find its differential effect on WTP with the help of multivariate analysis of variance (MANOVA). Findings - Findings of the study highlight that WTP for green products is significantly predicted by two variables which are in following order: PEB and ELOC. Results of cluster analysis and MANOVA revealed that WTP differ significantly with the level of intensity of ELOC and PEB among Indian consumers. Research limitations/implications - It advances the body of knowledge centred on the interplay of the PEB and ELOC to WTP for green products. Additional work is clearly required to consider the wide range of potentially relevant variables like brand image, prices, advertisements and product quality that ensures the generalizability of findings. Practical implications - The hypothesis framed, tested and inferences made can form a basis of extremely valued toolkit for those green marketers who take caution when planning their marketing and communications strategies to stimulate the WTP by conveying a reason and motivation to act environmentally. Originality/value - In this study, an understanding of WTP for green products is developed. The much required knowledge gap in terms of interplay of ELOC and PEB on WTP has been filled with the help of the present study. It has been identified that those consumer groups who displays higher PEB and ELOC forms the primary target audience for green product marketer.
