摘要 : The study was conducted to measure the extent of adoption of scientific dairy farming practices (SDFPs) and level of overall adoption through adoption index of selected 720 respondents equally divided in Jhunjhunu and Tonk distric... 展开 The study was conducted to measure the extent of adoption of scientific dairy farming practices (SDFPs) and level of overall adoption through adoption index of selected 720 respondents equally divided in Jhunjhunu and Tonk districts in Rajasthan. About three-fourth respondents were adopting practices of heat detection in animals, colostrum feeding to newly borne calves within 2 hours, cleaning udder and teats before milking, proper cleaning of floor and providing ventilation in shed, washing hands and bucket before milking whereas, in sharp contrast cent per cent technological adoption gap was observed in dehorning and weaning of calves. The other practices where technological gap was above 90 per cent were isolation of sick animals and feeding mineral mixture. It was also observed that large percentage of the respondents i.e. 64 per cent were in medium adoption category followed by 24 per cent in low and only 12 per cent in high adoption categories. 收起
