摘要 : The species composition of beech/conifer stands in the mountains of the Upper Draganal watershed in NW Romania was analysed in relation to the main physiographic factors in 52 sample plots established along 13 transects down slope... 展开 The species composition of beech/conifer stands in the mountains of the Upper Draganal watershed in NW Romania was analysed in relation to the main physiographic factors in 52 sample plots established along 13 transects down slopes traversing 20 forest compartments of the Remeti Forest District, selected on the basis that the 3 main constituent species were approximately equally abundant at the time of the start of stand regeneration. Plots were 79-95 years old, with a relatively uniform age structure and near-complete canopy closure. The results of redundancy analyses indicated that Abies alba predominated at mid- to upper-slope positions, on steep gradients, and favoured southerly aspects. In contrast Picea abies was most abundant on frost-susceptible lower slopes and damper sites with northwesterly aspects. A weak ordination with respect to site factors reflected the fact that Fagus sylvatica may have been at the upper altitude limits of its natural distribution. It is concluded that the 2 conifer species have site requirements that are relatively complementary for both the production and the conservation of mixed stands. 收起
