The antenna consists of a partially elliptical monopole and a couch-like reflector. The couch-like reflector creates an antenna beam wide enough to be used for home security service applications. In addition, the antenna can be inconspicuously installed in the upper corner of a room. The dimension of the proposed antenna is 21×38×20 mm~3. The measured H-plane beam width is wider than 130° over the 10 dB return loss bandwidth of the antenna (6.7-10.33 GHz). The peak gain is greater than 4 dBi in the frequency band of interest. 收起
