The village is situated 28 km away from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, A... 展开 Bastar, a village of Karchhana block of Allahabad district was selected purposely in 2001 by Krishi Vigyan Kendra for training need assessment through PRA techniques. The village is situated 28 km away from Krishi Vigyan Kendra, Allahabad. Low yield of fish was identified as problem faced by fish farmer of the village along with other problem related to crop production and animal husbandry. RBQ value of low yield was 32.67. AYLP was 23.15 and M.V. 1521.621. Low yield of fish was identified as the topmost problem in fish culture and ranked sixth among other agriculture related problem of Bastar village. Different factors were socio-economic and bio-physical factors which hindrance the yield of fish. Possible solutions were predated by participatingwith farmers. A needful training list also prepared for practicing farmers and rural youth. The list of training for practicing farmer were prophylactic measure against fish disease, emergent problem in fish culture, estimation of pH and use of lime in fish ponds, organic fish farming and fish seed rearing in seasonal ponds was identified for rural youth. 收起
