A field experiment was conducted on sandy clay loam soil during rabi 2004-2005 to study the influence of conjunctive use of organic and inorganic sources of nutrients on yield and quality of maize. The reducing and non reducing sugars, protein content in maize seed and yield was noticed in 16 treatment combinations (Four levels of 100, 75, 50 and 25% of recommended N supplied by Four organic sources like Poultry Manure (PM), Vermi Compost (VC), Farm Yard Manure (FYM) and Sulfitation Press Mud (SPM) remaining N supplied through urea). The maximum reducing and non reducing sugars, protein content in maize seed and yield was recorded with 50% of recommended N supplied through Poultry Manure. The reducing and non reducing sugars, protein content in maize seed and yield with application of different kinds of organic sources was followed the order: PM > VC > FYM > SPM. In different levels of organic sources, it follows the order: 100% > 75% > 50% > 25%.
