A field experiment was carried out during <i>kharif</i> seasons of 2003 and 2004. Pooled analysis of data indicated no significant influence of both phosphorus sources viz., DAP and PR (34/74)+cowdung (1:3)+PSB on water relations and quality parameters of soybean. Phosphorus levels also did not differ significantly with RWC and proline content of leaves, however 60 kg P2O5 ha-1 recorded significantly higher oil and protein content (19.76 and 40.77 per cent, respectively) and their yields (277.33 and 570.81 kg ha-1, respectively) over 40 kg P2O5 ha-1. Amongst the agrochemicals, foliar application of brassinolide (0.25 ppm) significantly reduced proline content and increased RWC of leaves at 40 and 70 DAS. It also increased oil and protein content and their yield by 4.44 and 3.42 and 19.32 and 18.24 per cent, respectively over water spray.
