Unlike cholesteric liquid crystals, the considered multilayer structure can have considerable local chiral properties. The exact analytical solution for the reflection and transmission from a slab sample is given and illustrated by numerical examples. The modified de Vries formula for the rotation of the polarization plane of electromagnetic waves is found. 收起
