From the boundary conditions, the interface matrix is factorized in a compac... 展开 A simple and complete characterization of the algebraic structure of the Fresnel coefficients at an interface between two homogeneous media is presented. From the boundary conditions, the interface matrix is factorized in a compact form for both basic polarizations. This factorization shows that the interface matrices are an abelian group respect to the matrix multiplication. As an essential consequence of this fact, the composition law for the reflection and transmission Fresnel coefficients was derived, showing that the former behave as the velocities in special relativity. 收起
