The higher SEP scores imply the firm is engaging more in SEP activities. Our empirical evidence shows support of our hypothesis, suggesting that SEP practice enhances firm accounting performance. Furthermore, several robustness checks confirm the results, including an instrumental variable analysis and propensity score matching technique. 收起
