During the investigation, as many as 16 species of insect pests were recorded on the crop. The important pests recorded are <i>Achaea janata</i> Linn., <i>Spodoptera litura</i> F., <i>Helicoverpa armigera</i> Hub., <i>Ergolis merione</i> Cramer, <i>Euproctis fraterna</i> Moore, <i>Liriomyza trifolii</i> (Burgess), <i>Trialeurodes ricini</i> Misra, <i>Empoasca flavescens</i> F. and <i>Conognethes punctiferalis</i> (Guenn.). Among the natural enemies the egg parasitoid, <i>Trichogramma chilonis</i> Ishii and a larval parasitoid, <i>Microplitis maculipennis</i> Szepligate were more predominant. 收起
