Seven 2,6-dimethyl IPAs demonstrated excellent in vitro activity (MIC: 0.025-0.054 mu g/mL) against the drug susceptive H37Rv strain and two clinically isolated multidrug-resistant Mycobacterium tuberculosisstrains.
