The objective is threefold: (1) mapping the sup... 展开 This paper aims to describe the use of remote sensing data in the solar and microwave part of the electromagnetic spectrum with a view to reconstitute the structure of the landscape. The objective is threefold: (1) mapping the superficial formationsof the title depression using SPOT satellite data and ground truth radiometric data; (2) mapping the palaeo-drainage system (which is nearly invisible in the solar spectrum because it is partly sand-buried), using SIR-C radar data; (3) building a database on the kinematics of the barchan dunes. It helps to better understand wind dynamics and dune behaviour through multiple queries. These three levels of information come as an addition to a level of archeological information (the former ancient occupation of the sites) and to a level of information corresponding to the present use of the land (plots and road network throughout the oasis). 收起
