The results of field study conducted from 2006 to 2008 were analyzed to study the effect of integrated nutrient management on some soil properties, yield and uptake of nutrients in rice maize cropping system. The results indicate that higher fertility levels, uptake of nutrients and yields of both the crops were observed in treatments receiving both organic and inorganic fertilizers in <i>kharif</i> season followed by 100% NPK through inorganic fertilizers during summer season. Higher organic carbon, available K, total N uptake of 204.29 kg/ha and rice grain yield of 6,173 kg/ha were observed in <i>kharif</i> season in T9. Treatment T6 receiving 50% N through FYM and 50% NPK through inorganic fertilizers in <i>kharif</i> followed by 75% NPK through inorganic fertilizers showed 0.73% organic carbon, 22.19 kg/ha available P and 187.22 kg/ha available K. Higher total N, P and K uptake of 129.29 kg/ha, 26.45 kg/ha and 96.46 kg/ha, respectively and 4536 kg/ha maize grain yield was also observed in T6.
