The Douro Wine Region (Port Wine Region) in Portugal is known by its vineyards that are located in very hilly terrain, with over 70% in hillsides with a slope higher than 30%. <i>Vitis vinifera</i> L. 'Moscatel Galego-Branco' evapotranspiration (ET) measurements by the eddy covariance technique were carried out for the first time in this region, over undulating terrain conditions, during the summers of 2008 and 2009. This study presents data collected in a rainfed vineyard in the Douro Region, with a preliminary treatment. Given the complex terrain conditions, a 2D coordinate rotation was performed in order to obtain correct flux values. Daily ET varied approximately from 3.0 in July to 1.5 mm day<sup>-1</sup> in September. During this period, predawn leaf water potential ranged from -0.25 to -0.6 MPa, respectively, indicating a mild water stress. The ratio between ET and reference ET (ET<sub>o</sub>), equivalent to the product of a crop coefficient (K<sub>c</sub>) and a stress coefficient (K<sub>s</sub>), was about 0.4 for the berry maturation phase (August).
