In 2007, trials were conducted on PMTV-infested land in Perthshire and Yorkshire and in 2008, thedaughter tubers were planted at PMTV-free sites in Midlothian and Norfolk. All cultivars were infected when grown in infested soil. Differences amongst the cultivars in resistance to PMTV infection tended to be less than differences in sensitivity to foliar symptoms or spraing. Symptom expression was variable in the daughter crops; however, all cultivars showed a 50-75% reduction in the amount of tuber infection irrespective of whether they were tolerant or sensitive. 收起
