Data on pH, electrical cond... 展开 Groundwater samples were collected during December 2004 from approximately 25 different bore wells in and around Chikmagalur Taluk, Karnataka, India to study the physicochemical properties of the water. Data on pH, electrical conductivity, total dissolved solids, dissolved oxygen, total alkalinity, total hardness, calcium, magnesium, nitrate, phosphate, and sulfate were recorded. The bore wells from which the samples were collected are extensively used for drinking. Results showed that the values of several quality parameters were above the permissible range. Therefore, a proper monitoring of water quality is needed. It is suggested that proper care must be done to avoid contamination of groundwater through periodic monitoring of water quality.. 收起
