This system is ba... 展开 Since 1994, in the Veneto Region, an Information System (SIR) has been implemented, with the collaboration of all actors involved in the epidemiological surveillance in the field of animal health and food safety. This system is based on the Regional Data Bank (RDB) of breeding and related industries, officially appointed nationwide with DM 31/01/2002 and in relation with the national level (National Data Bank - NDB). The consolidation of this archive has allowed the development of satellite modules, that manage the surveillance activity performed by the Veterinary Services of Local Public Health Units (LPHUs). In order to complete the information collected as far as official controls are concerned, a web-page system has been developed. This system collects and manages data referred to the analysis carried out, as own-check, on raw milk conferred to dairies for the sale of pasteurized milk. It also returns the information, in realtime, of dairy farmers that respect criteria originally provided by legislation (DPR 54/97, repealed and included in EC Reg 853/2004). The information system is finally integrated with the management procedure used by the Istituto Zooprofilattico Sperimentale delle Venezie laboratories (IZILAB), recently rewritten in order to achieve a better data bank integration. The ongoing consolidation of the SIR has allowed the mapping of the production process of the bovine milk, including the sale of raw milk through distributors. It has also improved the quality of regional archives, through the validation of recorded data and the integration of public and private components in the framework of dairy production in the Veneto Region. Till august the 31st, 2010, 4,957 dairy farmers have been recorded in the system, among which 256 with raw milk distributor officially registered. 收起
