Early-onset schizophrenia (EOS) represents a more severe variant of the disorder associated with onset in childhood or adolescence. Examination of the cognitive abnormalities of EOS offers the opportunity to explore how disease-related mechanisms may affect facets of cognitive development. This article summarizes and synthesizes available data with regards to the profile of cognitive impairments in EOS, their severity, and their evolution over the course of the disorder. 收起
