摘要 : This study investigated the methane production of municipal solid waste (MSW) in different combination of cow dung in batch digesters and the manurial value of biodigested slurry before and after vermicomposting with native earthw... 展开 This study investigated the methane production of municipal solid waste (MSW) in different combination of cow dung in batch digesters and the manurial value of biodigested slurry before and after vermicomposting with native earthworm species, Perionyx ceylanensis. The first digester was fed with cow dung along (D1), the second (D2), third (D3) and fourth (D4) digesters were fed with 25, 50 and 75% replacement of cow dung and the fifth digester (D5) was fed with MSW alone. The maximum gas production (20.648 litres) was recorded in digester D2, which was fed with 25% MSW and 75% cow dung. While in 50, 75 and 100% MSW fed digesters, gas production rate was 10.353, 10.555 and 8.298 litres, respectively. The manurial value of the biodigested slurry and vermicompost showed that electrical conductivity, N, P, K and organic C values were higher in vermicompost than biodigested slurry. The percentage of N, P and K values was 1.25, 1.20 and 1.10 times higher in vermicompost than in biodigested slurry. 收起
