The scope and complexity of this problem have led to stricter 211requirements of the quality of concrete and cover thickness in regulations and 211environments where reinforcement is most liable to attack, i.e. where chlorides 211are present, this has in some cases led to the use of extreme cover thickness, 211and hence more expensive structures. Research by CBI into the 'Service life of 211concrete Structures' has for several years focused on clarifying a number of 211questions concerning reinforcement corrosion caused by chlorides. 收起
