The polarization state of the reflected wave is controlled by changing the state of PIN diodes, which are embedded in unit cells composed of a butterfly structure and biasing network. When the PIN diodes are forward biased in the on-state, the metasurface can regulate the incident linearly polarized wave into its cross-polarized wave in the two bands of 7.30–8.90 GHz and 19.40–24.92 GHz and circularly polarized waves in 9.79–17.42 GHz. When the PIN diode is switched to the off-state, cross-polarization conversions are achieved in the band of 8.9–13.22 GHz and line-to-circular polarization conversions are obtained in the bands of 7.60–8.30 GHz and 14.71–16.83 GHz. The simulation results are consistent with the experimental results. 收起
