We present a general method to construct couplings of stochastic differential equations driven by Levy noise in terms of coupling operators. This approach covers both coupling by reflection and refined basic coupling which are often discussed in the literature. As applications, we prove regularity results for the transition semigroups and obtain successful couplings for the solutions to stochastic differential equations driven by additive Levy noise.

Abstract The study explored how civilians living in the line of fire perceived the impact of the exposure to war on their relationships. Couple resilience and loss and gain of couple resources were hypothesized to mediate between the level of exposure and couple relationships. Data were collected from sixty‐one individuals living in Israel close to the border with the Gaza Strip and 121 individuals living some distance from the border. No differences were found between the groups on couple relationships. However, the high exposure group reported significantly higher negative and positive implications of the security situation for couple relationships. Recommendations for couple and systemic intervention focused on the positive impacts for couples and on a broader macro‐level approach, through group work with couples and training medical and education workers. Practitioner points Many therapists working with populations in war situations tend to focus on the painful and stressful aspects, emphasizing traumatic symptoms and their impact on relationships This study shows that stress created by exposure to war might also enrich some aspects of couple relationships This enrichment, such as in the ability to communicate, to share, and to reach agreement and trust, should be taken into consideration when planning and implementing therapy

The use of transition-metal nanoparticles in catalysis has attracted much interest, and their use in carbon-carbon coupling reactions such as Suzuki, Heck, Sonogashira, Stille, Hiyama, and Ullmann coupling reactions constitutes one of their most important applications. The transition-metal nanoparticles are considered as one of the green catalysts because they show high catalytic activity for several reactions in water. This review is devoted to the catalytic system developed in the past 10 years in transition-metal nanoparticles-catalyzed carbon-carbon coupling reactions such as Suzuki, Heck, Sonogashira, Stine. This paper presents a feasibility study aiming to estimate the precision achievable on the Higgs-to-charm-quark coupling at a future Muon Collider. The accurate measurement of the Yukawa couplings is of invaluable importance in High Energy Particle Physics, as it sheds light on the Electroweak Symmetry Breaking mechanism. In particular, the couplings to the second generations of fermions are of extreme interest due to sensitivity to a whole class of new physics models, but their measurement is extremely challenging, because of the small branching ratio. The coupling to charm quark, especially, is currently not accessible at LHC but could be probed at future lepton colliders. Within this work, the search for H → cc at Muon Collider has been performed. The μ~+μ~- → Hνν → ccνν signal process has been fully simulated and reconstructed at √s = 1.5 TeV, along with the main physics backgrounds. The machine background originating from the decay of muons in the beam, the so-called Beam Induced Background, is not included in this preliminary study. With the aim of improving the rejection of jets coming from b-quark and u-d-s-g hadronization, a charm quark tagging algorithm has been developed by employing Machine Learning techniques. Finally, the relative uncertainty on the coupling at √s = 1.5 TeV is estimated to be 5.5%. A projection to √s = 3TeV shows that precision improves with increasing energy, reaching the value of 2.6%.

Making use of the master equation and effective Hamiltonian approach, we investigate the steady-state entanglement in a three-qubit XX model. Both symmetric and nonsymmetric qubit-qubit couplings are considered. The system (the three qubits) is coupled to two bosonic baths at different temperatures. We calculate the steady state by the effective Hamiltonian approach and discuss the dependence of the steady-state entanglement on the temperatures and couplings. The results show that for symmetric qubit-qubit couplings, the entanglements between the nearest neighbors are equal, independent of the temperatures of the two baths. The maximum of the entanglement arrives at TL=TR. For nonsymmetric qubit-qubit couplings, however, the situation is totally different. The baths at different temperatures would benefit the entanglement and the entanglements between the nearest neighbors are no longer equal. By examining the probability distribution of each eigenstate in the steady state, we present an explanation for these observations. These results suggest that the steady entanglement can be controlled by the temperature of the two baths

Coupling is a fundamental property of software systems which is strongly connected with the quality of software design and has high impact on program understanding. The coupling between software components influences software maintenance and evolution as well. In order to ease the maintenance and evolution processes it is essential to estimate the impact of changes made in the software system,couplingindicating such a possible impact. This paper introduces a new aggregated coupling measurement which captures both thestructuraland theconceptualcharacteristics of coupling between the software components. The proposed measure combines the textual information contained in the source code with the structural relationships between software components. We conduct several experiments which underline that the proposed aggregated coupling measure reveals new characteristics of coupling and is also effective for change impact analysis.

A systematic study of the widely used, titled name reaction transition-metal-catalyzed cross-coupling reactions with attention to context with the directed ortho metalation (D o M) is reported. In general, the Suzuki–Miyaura and Negishi protocols show greater scope and better yields than the Corriu–Kumada variant, although the latter qualitatively proceeds at fastest rate but has low functional group tolerance. The Negishi process is shown to be useful for substrates with nucleophile and base-sensitive functionality and it is comparable to the Suzuki–Miyaura reaction in efficiency. The link of these cross-coupling reactions to the D o M strategy lends itself to the regioselective construction of diversely substituted aromatics and heteroaromatics.

In this paper, the idea of an internal creative couple is explored in relation to parenting. The internal creative couple is seen as an outcome of psychic development, which may or may not have occurred, been impaired or temporarily lost. Examples of the way this can affect the couple and their parenting are given, elaborated through clinical illustrations. The process of psychic development enabling this capacity is described, highlighting several stages that seem crucial, though it is important to note that this development does not necessarily occur in a linear way, and involves returning to, and reworking at different developmental points in life. Creative couple relating, both internally and as manifested in couple and parenting relationships, is challenging and not always possible. Several reasons why this might be so are given.

Symmetrical and unsymmetrical bithiophene-substituted heterocycles bearing carbonitriles including imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine, benzimidazole, and pyridine derivatives have been synthesized via different synthetic protocols. The bithiophene bis-imidazo[1,2-a]pyridine derivatives 3a,b were achieved in three steps starting from 2-acetyl-5-bromothiophene. Suzuki coupling reaction of 2a with 5-formylthiophen-2-ylboronic acid forms the formyl derivative 5, which by condensation with 3,4-diaminobenzonitrile in the presence of sodium bisulfite furnishes the unsymmetrical bithiophene derivative6. The bis-benzimidazole derivative 8 was obtained via hexabutylditin-mediated homocoupling of 5-bromothiophene-2-carboxaldehyde, while the benzimidazole derivatives 12a,b were prepared via the formyl derivatives 11a,b, a product of Velsmier formylation reaction of 10a,b. Two synthetic protocols for the aryl/hetaryl-2,2'-bithiophene derivative 14 have also been presented. In addition, the guanyl hydrazones of bithiophenes, 16 and 17, were prepared from bis(tri-n-butylstannyl)-2,2'-bithiophene through a Stille coupling reaction followed by a condensation step.
