This paper presents the use of fuzzy logic modeling process parameters in a wear testof AA7068/TiC, with various weight fractions of reinforcement varied from 0 to 10 wt.% in steps of 2 wt.% and the test specimens was prepared as per ASTM standards. The wear behavior was investigated by performing dry sliding test on pin-on-disc tester. Experiments are planned and conductedas per central composite design (CCD). The process parameters used are wt.% of TiC, rotational speed (N), sliding velocity (V), and applied load (P). The output response considered in the investigation is wear. Fuzzy rule based model is developed for correlating the processparameters with wear. The results indicated that the model can be effectively used for predicting the wear in dry sliding of MMCs. 收起
