Models are calibrated by measuring the distribution of linear intercepts through each of the phases in the physical texture. The relationship between the linear-intercept distributions of the two phases and the two-point correlation function of the two-phase texture is derived. The boolean model is applied to the description of gas diffusion in porous solids and to the characterization of the texture of a two-phase mineralogical solid. 收起
