Electric pulp test is a method to examine the vitality of dental pulp using the electrical stimulation. During the pulp test, the current stimulates intradental nerve, and give severe pain to patients. Some studies were accomplished to measure the responses of subjects by stimulating over the sensory threshold. But these studies were focused on the time delay of subject''s response after stimulating over the threshold. The purpose of this study was first to measure the excessive stimulation time during pulp testing by means of EMG in anterior belly of digastric muscle, voice, and finger movement, secondly, to determine whether the excessive stimulation time could be reduced by the specially designed automatic circuit breaker on the basis of EMG signal.

Due to the decline of the world's forest resources, non-wood fiber sources are becoming increasingly important as raw materials in fiber-based industries, One source of such non-wood fiber is S. alterniflora (Common Cordgrass) and related species, which are large-sized grasses, about 1-1.5 m tall, with leaves 20-60 cm in length). These grasses have invaded many coastal areas in China and can result in huge economic losses. Studies have shown that the fiber composition of S. alterniflora is: cellulose 35.9%, hemicellulose 34.2%, lignin 15.9%, ash 2.98%. The length of S. alterniflora fibers, which are shorter and narrower than bamboo fibers, makes it difficult to utilize S. alterniflora in chemical pulps. However, thermomechanical pulping of S. alterniflora stems can be used to prepare pulps which can then be suitably mixed with chemical pulps and used to manufacture a variety of molded pulp products The raw material for the pulp molding products is used S. alterniflora pulp mixing with other chemical pulp like bamboo pulp, off-cuts from the paper making factory, printing factory, corrugated factory and other paper product factories. The pulp molding products can be collected and reused again, which could control the rapid spread invasive species of S. alterniflora effectively. Even if it is abandoned in nature, it will be biodegraded into fertilizer within a few months.

This paper expounded the concept and the basic principle of extrusion pulping, besides it gave a detail discussion in the current research situation of this pulping method in china. On the part of discussing the preaent research, this paper had in-depth discussions, especially in the aspect of the raw material adaptability, the technological process pertinence and the reasonableness of the main machine structure. Based on the summarizing of the current researches, this article also epitomized the existent disadvantages of extrusion pulping method which discovered during the research process, simultaneously it gave a detail proposal for the future research development directions.

Pre-beating exercised before conventional bleaching was found to be beneficial to promote the bleachability of pulps. Through the light mechanical action exerted in an alkaline medium, impurities were freed from the fibers and removed through subsequent washing, less chlorine consumption would be needed in the subsequent bleaching process, thus improving bleached pulp quality and reducing bleachery pollution load.

This paper will discuss the relevance of the optimisation-based production scheduling for pulp and paper processes. Remarkable benefits are available when managing production planning and optimisation with a modern IT system supporting global optimisation-based scheduling. The implementation effort for such systems is now quite modest.
