Когда люди видят нечто загадочное, возникает множество версий, вплоть до самых фантастических. Для критической оценки большинства из них достаточно здравого смысла и имеющихся научных знаний. Но и самую правдоподобную версию формально нельзя считать достоверной, пока она не подтверждена экспериментом, повторяющим в лабораторных условиях процесс образования минерала — а речь у нас о них.
