The political outlook for the Cayman Islands in EIU's 2023-24 forecast period appears stable.The People-driven, Accountable, Competent and Transparent (PACT) coalition government led by the premier, Wayne Panton, will focus on improving infrastructure, supporting a full recovery of inbound tourism and tackling the high cost of living. The PACT's parliamentary majority will support governability (it has 11 of the 19 seats in the Legislative Assembly), but as the coalition is composed of independents, defections pose a risk to governability.
