Data were collected by personal interview on areas such as age, education, family size, number of dependants, size of operational holdings, and assets. Percentages of farmer type within category were evenly distributed, and family size did not vary significantly. 92.5% of farmers were literate, but the highest level of illiteracy was found in the landless group and the lowest in the large farmer group. No significant differences were found between the assets of the farmers in the latter three groups. Results are briefly discussed. 收起
