Nine insect... 展开 Investigations were carried out on efficacy of some insecticides against termite in wheat crop during 2006-07 at previously termite infested farmer's field in the village Dadar Bavadi (Amer block) of Jaipur, Rajasthan. Nine insecticidal seed treatments, viz. chlorpyriphos 20 EC, imidacloprid 200 SL and fipronil 5 FS at the rate of 4, 5 and 6 ml/kg of seed were evaluated against termite. Fipronil 5 ml/kg was found the most effective for protecting wheat crop from termite infestation and imidacloprid 6 ml/kg the least effective treatment. On the basis of cost:benefit ratio, maximum net return was obtained from fipronil 5 ml/kg (1:13.48) whereas least return was obtained by imidacloprid 6 ml/kg (1:1.82). 收起
