It is used for medicines, fuel wood, shelter, shadow and insecticidal properties. Apart from that it is also used as wind break to protect crops. In current investigationsthe effect of different rooting hormones was observed on Neem cuttings. For uniformity in trees vegetative propagation is very effective. Different concentrations of selected rooting hormones were given to softwood cuttings of Neem (Azadirachta indica).Nodal segments of selected tree were used as softwood cuttings and rooting was successfully done in non-mist propagator. Among all rooting hormones IBA proved to be best as it gave maximum rooting (63.0%) and sprouting (84.7%). Cuttings treated with 4000 ppm concentration of IBA gave maximum rooting percentage and number of roots. 收起
