Intra-abdominal thyroid tissue was totally resected around the mesentery of the small intestine in a 56-year-old woman. She had hyperthyroidism preoperatively and had also undergone a bilateral subtotal thyroidectomy 10 years earlier. No signs or symptoms of a thyroid tumor were present. 收起
