Brian Noble, director of delivery services for Main Roads WA, told the annual WA State Infrastructure Conference organised last month by the Local Government Supervisors Association and Parks & Leisure Australia that the eight term network contracts in place across the state placed emphasis on the position of local government. As well as the maintenance of the highways and main roads, each of the contractors is responsible for traffic regulatory signs and markings on the roads managed by local authorities in its region, Noble said. 收起
