Despite this remarkable achievement, disposal of males at the farmers' hand in the changing agricultural farming system has turned troublesome. Many a times male calves, even from a proven pedigree is disposed off without exploiting its revenue generation potential by way of semen production as a future breeding bull. The prospect of male calves from high milk yielders as a source of additional revenue for dairy farmers is focused here.
