However, in Japan it is usually 4-6 and 6-10 days, respectively. During the longer hospitalization after deliveries, in Japan, women usually rest for health recovery and receive guidance from midwives about baby care such as breastfeeding. To date, cesarean delivery has contributed to the decreased prevalence of exclusive breastfeeding [4-7]; however, the longer guidance regarding breastfeeding following cesarean delivery compared with vaginal delivery in Japan may contribute to an increased rate of exclusive breastfeeding. 收起
