Dear Sir, An earlier report has suggested the existence of an epidemiological interference in the development of outbreaks between norovirus, influenza A and B virus and respiratory syncytial virus (RSV) as these virus outbreaks usually did not reach their epidemiological peaks during the same period [1]. This assumption was based on data from Norwegian laboratory reports of virus infections [2]. The observation period was 4 winter seasons, from July 2002 to June 2006. In this communication we have extended the observation period to June 2008, thus including 6 winter seasons.
