The ?rst was a moving memori... 展开 Several very important events took place at the Colegio de Postgraduados en Ciencias Agrícolas (the Post Graduate College in Agricultural Sciences– CP) in Montecillos, Texcoco, Mexico, July 9–10, 2012. The ?rst was a moving memorial celebration of the life and work of Dr. Roberto García Espinosa, an internationally known plant pathologist and an early proponent of agroecology as a holistic approach for developing sustainable agroecosystems. His monumental book on agroecology and root diseases in agricultural crops (García Espinosa 2010) was recently reviewed in JSA (see vol. 36 no. 5), and was featured at the celebration. Almost 200 colleagues, students, family, and friends gathered to pay homage to this very special person. 收起
